Do not encrypt the email pay slip (i.e. emailed pay slip will be regular PDF files).

Emailed pay slips will include:

  • Pay slips generated and automatically emailed as part of the payrun
  • Pay slips the employee has emailed to their registered or any other email address from ESS, and
  • Pay slips that are sent out to employees or former employees by a Payroll Agent or Manager from the Earnings History screen.

Apply encryption to the emailed pay slip.

The password to be assigned to the PDF pay slips will be, by default, the employee's existing ESS password. Note that the password needed to access the PDF pay slips are required to be in UPPERCASE.
