About Preceda Configuration

Preceda Configuration options provides the various settings that are used to control functions within Preceda.

 

There are three main types of settings:

Sysvar

System Variables are system-wide functions used by Preceda to determine which themes are to be set by Self Service as the default and the version number of various components of Preceda. The settings put in place control every Preceda database on your system.

 

Prevar

Preceda Variables control individual database functions used to set such functions as the Company name to be used, etc.It is also used to control the use of many functions within the database, such as whether or not users can upload pictures when using Report Designer and the times when users are not allowed to run Extracts.

 

Program Control Options

Program Control Options are used to control various functions within Preceda, such as the format of Pay slips, display of leave types, warning messages, activation of various calculations etc. These options may be set within Preceda.

Program Control records are already established with the most common configuration when Preceda is delivered. These should be reviewed and changed where necessary.
