Basic details of available training courses are setup and maintained using this window .

Rules and Guidelines
- Training courses are the driver of the Learning Module, most facilities are driven by Course Codes such as updating employee's competencies or certifications on completion of a course.
- Courses and course content are available to view via Self Service.
- We recommend Course Codes are planned carefully and a standard convention used to enable easy searching over course codes.
- A combination of alpha and numeric codes can be used (e.g. IND1, IND2).

Specify if this course eligible under the Training Guarantee Act or not.
- The TGA is not currently active but this field can be used for other purposes.
- If Y is selected the number of hours must be entered into the Eligible Hours field.

Part days can be entered using decimals (e.g. 50 is half a day).

Eligible Hours are used to calculate employees' salaries and wages. This includes any internal trainers.
- This field is mandatory only if the Eligible field is set to Y.
- The value entered will be displayed in the Training Hours field on the Enrolments and Training History windows.

The number of hours required to prepare the course.

The number of hours required for course follow up and is used in reports to show the total cost of hours involved in a course, such as Expenditure by Org Units and Training Budget Variance reports.

The number of hours that are not TGA eligible, e.g., time taken as a break.

A Training Rate Code describes how often the rate should be applied to the hours for the course. e.g. an hourly rate, daily rate or fee per course.

When the Rate Code is selected the value attached to the code is displayed and can be changed.
- The value is used for recording and reporting purposes only and is not used for any calculations.
- The value displayed is the value assumed to apply to the training course as a whole value for the entire course, regardless of duration and the number of attendees.
- If the field is used to record a Daily Rate or a Corporate Rate the values must manually be recalculated.
