Training History
This window displays all training history for training courses created in Preceda.
Prerequisites
Rules and Guidelines
- Details of an employee's training history can be entered directly into this window.
- If recording training details directly into this window, leave the "Session No" field blank if recording more than one attendance for the employee on the same course.
- As training hours are processed via the payroll to flow through to training history, eliminating double entry.
- If training hours and the cost was entered from the Payroll module, the content of these two fields is displayed automatically.
- The window displays a list of courses attended by the selected employee, the dates and the grade achieved.
- Once an employee is selected all training history for that employee is displayed.
Field Information
This field displays the Course that the selected employee was enrolled in.
This field displays the course session number for the selected employee. This field is greyed out unless a Course ID is selected.
Enter the date the training was started.
Enter the date the Training was completed.
The grade (e.g. Credit, Pass, Fail, Incomplete) awarded to the employee at the time the session was completed is displayed and can be changed.
This field displays the calculated value of the hours spent, if the Training Hours for the employee were entered into the Time Entry window.
Defaults from the information entered into the Eligible Hours field on the Training Courses window.
This field displays the rate code that was selected when the Training Course was created.
This field displays the $value attached to the rate code.
This value is assumed to apply to the training course as a whole value for the entire course, regardless of duration and the number of attendees, to the value should be maintained to reflect true costs.
- e.g. if an Hourly Rate was selected, this field would be overridden to reflect the actual cost for the employee over the duration of the course.
- This field is not used by Preceda for any calculations. Values entered here may be compared to the values setup in the Budget Unit window by using Extractor.
Defaults to the Org Unit setup against the employee's record.
This can be changed to reflect the area to which the cost of the course for this employee should be charged.
Defaults to the Department code setup against the employee's record.
This can be changed to reflect the area to which the cost of the course for this employee should be charged.
Defaults to the Account code setup against the employee's record.
This can be changed to reflect the area to which the cost of the course for this employee should be charged.
Comments about the training.

This code is entered when the course is completed to indicate the employee's level of satisfaction with the course attended.
