This window is used to group employees who have the same salary or wage rate.
When an existing Salary Codes record is updated and the Hours Pay Rate Based On field value has been changed, a check will be performed when Save is clicked to determine if the Code is currently in use against any employee.
Deleting the first record of a set of Effective Dated Salary Codes is not allowed. If the last record is the one being deleted, the prior record will be extended over the period of time the record being deleted is meant to be effective.
If the record selected is the LAST one, the Change button is clicked, and the From and To dates have been changed to assign future dates past the last record To date, then the current last record 's To date will be adjusted to become 'From date of the new record - 1 day'. The new record is created with the given From and To dates
If the case is that the selected record is the LAST one, and both From and To dates have been changed, but the given From date is prior to the last record's From date, then the adjusted To date needs will be ignored, and defaulted to become 'From date of the next record - 1 day'.
Enter a code of up to 4 characters that represents the Salary Code.
Enter a description of the Salary.
This should have a meaningful Salary Group description, such as Kitchen Hands 1st Grade etc.
