Group Profile
A Group Profile is used to correlate the controls for the Themes and Custom Navigators which were applied to Preceda/ MSS Users.

Rules and Guidelines
- The Themes and Links that have been created, the Access Profiles and, the Payroll and Preceda TIME templates are combined into the Group Profile.
- It is also used to control the Leave Types for which the balances are to be displayed.
- Any number of Group Profiles can be setup. Use the Self Service Options window or the Self Service Users Maintenance window to allocate the Group profiles to individual users, or to a combination of selection criteria.
- There is an Advanced Search facility available on this window.
Field Information
This field displays a code of up to 10 characters that represents the Group Profile name, usually based on its use.
This field displays a description of the Group Profile.
Select from the drop-down the Navigator Name to determine how the configured navigator is structured. Leave blank for the Preceda default.
Select from the drop-down the SS Navigator to determine how the employee's ESS navigator will be structured.
Select from the drop-down the Theme that will determine the overall look of Preceda.
This is commonly used if there is more than one database and the administrators want to restrict the themes available to each database.

Select from the drop-down the Design Template to be attached to this Group Profile.
Attaching a Template on this field enables the Timesheet and Claims screens in Employee Self Service.
The Design Template is set on the Design Template screen.
Select from the drop-down the Template which will determine what data needs to be entered by the employee in their time sheet.
Ticking this allows ESS user to reset his/her own password.
Likewise, unticking or leaving it blank does not allow ESS user to reset his/her own password. This becomes the responsibility of the Preceda Administrator.
This field determines what type of user (i.e. Standard only or All Users) is prompted for 2FA.
This field is only visible when the Preceda Variable *PP_MULTI_FACTOR is
By default, Two Factor Authentication is set to Standard. Only Standard users in this Group Profile will be required to enrol and use 2FA.
If you want both Standard and Employee user types be required for 2FA, select All Users.
This section is available when the Use Leave Application Calendar on Self Service Options is turned ON (where Preceda Variables *SELFSERV_LAWP Position 1 = Y and also *TSDATA_OPTIONS Position 27 = H - Apply for Leave in Hours).
Indicate the minimum leave hours allowed to take for the day.
- If the field is visible, the default value will be set to 0.00.
- If the value is set to 0.00, there will be no validation on the leave application form on how many hours are allowed to be the Minimum per day.
- If greater than 0, then the value can not be greater than Maximum hours per day.
Indicate the minimum leave hours allowed to take for the week.
- If the field is visible, the default value will be set to 0.00.
- If the value is set to 0.00, there will be no validation on the leave application form on how many hours are allowed to be the Minimum per week.
- If greater than 0, then the value can not be greater than Maximum hours per week.
Indicate the maximum number of hours the employee will work for a day.
By default, this is set to '0.00'. If the value is set to '0.00', then there will be no validation on the leave application as to the maximum number of hours the employee is allowed to apply for leave in a day.
Indicate the maximum number of hours the employee will work for in a week.
By default, this is set to '0.00'. If the value is set to '0.00', then there will be no validation on the leave application as to the maximum number of hours the employee is allowed to apply for leave in a week.
Indicate the first day of the week when the counting for the minimum/maximum hours per week of a leave should start.
A week is defined as seven (7) consecutive days from the start of a point in time as selected for this drop-down field. The two (2) available options are:
- Work Pattern
- Leave Application
Leave balances flagged with Y will appear on the Leave Application window in Self Service.
From the prompt list, select a Link ID to add a hyperlink to the ESS Welcome Page for easy access to documents and/or web sites.
This refers to the URL of the Link ID chosen.
