Public Holidays
The posting of public holiday time can be processed either automatically through the Auto Pay window or manually through the Time Entry window.
Posted Automatically
If using the Auto Pay option and public holidays are to be posted automatically, then:
- The Auto Pay field in the Payment Details window is flagged with Y for relevant employees;
- Establish one or more Public Holidays record;
- Establish at least one Hours Type record for public holidays with a Classification of 'P' (Public Holidays).
The hours paid for a particular public holiday depends on the number of hours each employee is scheduled to work on that public holiday. The hours are based on the employee's daily work hours that are taken from the relevant Base Hours window.
Posted Manually
For employees who are not paid through Auto Pay, then:
- Establish at least one Hours Type for public holidays with a Classification of 'P' (Public Holidays);
- A Time Entry Hours record in the Payrun with the actual number of hours to pay for public holiday, against the relevant Hours Type Code.
