Use Extractor to Design a Crystal Repot

The name of the report must be the same as the report name entered into Extractor (If the Extract definition is changed after the Crystal report is created, it is necessary to synchronise the Extract and the Report to ensure that correct information is retrieved.)

  1. Open the Crystal Reports designer
  2. Select the New icon. The Standard Report Creation Wizard window will be displayed.
  3. Open the ODBC folder
  4. Locate the Extractor data soucre
  5. The created Extractor csv (comma separated values) file will be displayed.
  6. Select the required file. It will display in the Selected Tables window
  7. Select Next to choose which fields will be displayed on the report OR Select Finish to allow the addition of fields and formulae to your report.
  8. When you save the report be sure to give it the exact same name and location as that specified within Extractor.
