- The system assigns time to the Pay Period, based on the in punch date and time.
- If the in punch date and time falls in the specified Pay Period range, all of the time that the employee works is assigned to that Pay Period.
- If the system picks up an in punch from a meal for a shift that started inside the current Pay Period, the system also includes that time record in the current Pay Period.
The date cited on the full screen Time Editor and in reports will refer to the day of the in punch or to the day when the majority of hours are worked. The option selected will be considered when a shift crosses midnight.
Code | Description |
---|---|
I | Clock in date. If the day of the week is to be the same as the punch in date. |
M | Majority of hours. If the day of the week is to be the date the employee worked the majority of hours. |
- Example:
If an employee punches in on Sunday 5/10/08 at 23:00 and out on Monday 6/11/07 at 7:00, the day of the week in the full screen editor and on reports would show SUN if the punch in date was selected or MON if the Majority of Hours Date was selected.
Indicate whether the dates shown on the Time Editor will be based on the Actual (default) or Scheduled days.
- Actual is the actual day of the week as determined from the choice of in punch date or Majority of Hours Date.
- Scheduled means the date shown in the Time Editor and in reports refers to the base day of the week according to the Schedule.
- Example:
If an employee is scheduled to punch in on Sunday 1/10/08 at 23:00 and out on Monday 2/10/08 at 7:00, but actually punches in at 17:30 on Sunday and out at 01:00 on Monday, the selection determines how the hours are recorded.
If Majority of Hours Date is selected in the Base Day of Week On field and Actual in this field the majority of hours will force the date of record to be Sunday. If the Majority of Hours Date option is selected in the Base Day of Week on Schedule field and Schedule in this field regardless of when the majority of hours were actually worked, the date of record will be what would have been the majority hours worked according to the schedule.
This specifies how the system divides hours worked on shifts that cross the day divide, week end, or period end.
If this option is set to a Day Divide of Week End or Period End the Day Divide Time and From in the Pay Period profile should be set to the same time.
Code | Description |
---|---|

|
N | None - Disables this option. |
P |
Period End. The hours for all shifts that cross the end of the Pay Period will be split between the Pay Periods worked.
|

|
- Example:
Day Divide Time of Day Divide Split Punches at Hours Worked Time 12:00 am Day Divide 10:00 pm Monday 4/8 10 to 6 am Tuesday 5/8/08 - This example is a clock record split at the day divide.
