Termination Reasons are added when an employee is terminated to assist with explaining why the termination has come about.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Termination Reason can be used for Turnover analysis reporting.

  • When Preceda Variable *PP_STPPHASE2 = A, the Cessation Type field is mandatory. This information is used in STP Reporting.

This is a two-character code that represents the Termination Reason.

This is a description of the Termination Reason.

This is a 16- character description that can be used with report.

This provides information about payees who have ceased employment and takes away the requirement on payroll officers to produce Employment Separation Certificates, reducing the administration required.
