Additional RESC Import

This option imports RESC (Reportable Employee Superannuation Contributions) details from a PC file and converts it to the server format.

Rules and Guidelines

  • When submitted, the import file will be validated to ensure that no incorrect information is passed to the employee record.
  • Invalid records are reported as errors on the PPRE330A report and the process will not continue.
  • Only when there are no errors reported will the employee's records be updated.
  • If no errors occur, the process of updating the employee records with RESC details is performed.
  • Any update will replace existing RESC records.

  • This process will transfer your Fringe Benefits file from your computer to Preceda. Click the drop-down File Format Notes if you need to see the details of the file.

    Note: The import process may take some time depending upon the amount of data

The file name should be no longer than 6 characters and be placed in the Preceda people application directory. For the RESC Import to work correctly, the file to import must be a comma separated csv file in the following format.

Employee Number

A valid employee number that can be contained within quotes.

  • A maximum length of 6 characters is allowed.
Employee Version

A valid employee version number for the selected employee.

  • A maximum length of 1 character. This can be contained within quotes.
  • For the current employee this will always be blank
  • The exception to this is if employees have been transferred or reinstated and a previous record is to be updated. The appropriate version number is needed.
RESC Amount

The value is in dollars and cents with 2 decimal places.

  • Zero cents may be omitted.
  • A maximum length of 10 characters.
  • The value can be within quotes, have a leading $ sign and contain a decimal point.
  • Commas are not allowed.

Field Information

Select the Browse button and locate the path and name of the file to import.

 

Select Run Process to convert/import the file.
