FTE - Full Time Equivalent
Preceda has available the functionality to calculate and record Full Time Equivalent hours.
The level of employment, based on the FTE (full time equivalent) method. For example, a full-time employee has an FTE code of 1.0. A half-time employee has an FTE code of 0.5.
- Program Control option FTE position 16 when set determines how the value for Employee FTE hours per week is to be recorded.
- The FTE Factors window is used to setup the various FTE rates and codes.
- The Populate Position FTE Hours per Week window allows for a bulk update of the Position FTE Hours per week value, based on a selection criteria. This process should only be run when all users have logged out of Preceda and no background processes are running.
FTE Calculation
Employee FTE Hours per Week (divided by) Position FTE Hours per week (multiplied by) FTE Factor (equal) FTE.
If there is not a FTE Factor code on the Employee Position window, the calculation will be Employee FTE Hours per week (divided by) Position FTE Hours per Week.
The FTE value will automatically be displayed once the FTE Hours per Week on the Employee window is added.
If the Position FTE Hours per week or the Employee FTE Hours per week fields have not been populated, the FTE value will return 0.00000.
