History Retention
The History Retention holds the period that Personnel History information is to be kept.

Rules and Guidelines
- If terminated employees are removed at year end, their history records are also removed.
- For New Zealand users, the law requires that records are retained for seven years. The U-Period Earnings field is set to indicate the number of years the data is to be kept within Preceda. The size of the database may preclude the keeping of all seven years on the system.
Field Information

For each of the displayed options (i.e. Annual Leave, Personal Leave, Long Service Leave, Other Leave, Training, Earnings History, Workers Compensation Payments), a period of time can be setup to retain history information.
