Determining Tax Week Calculation

In order to determine how tax Week are calculated, the system uses series field and windows.

Window	Field	Value
Tax & Rounding	Calculate Tax Weeks	N	Use the Pay Frequency to determine the Tax week.
		Y	Use the value in the Employment Type window.
Employee Classification	Employment Type	C	Use the value in the Pay Frequency to determine the Tax week.
		All other values	Use the Base Hours value on the Payment Details window.
Employee Payment Details	Base Hours		Use the value setup in this field to determine the number of hours per tax week for the selected employee.
Hours Type	Exclude From Tax Weeks Calc	N	Include this hours Type Code paid to the employee in the total hours worked.
		Y	Exclude this hours type code hours paid to the employee in the total hours worked.

 

• The total number of hours included and paid in the pay divided by hours contracted per week will give the number of tax week in that pay.
