Preceda Reporting Tools

The Reporting Tools section of Preceda provides the means of extracting data from Preceda and presenting it in a user friendly visual report. It also provides a comprehensive list of standard and advanced reports covering a multitude of categories such as Payroll, Administration, Learning etc.

Data can be delivered into various report writers such as Excel, Adobe Acrobat pdf or Crystal Reports. This provides automation in the processing and distribution of reports. Extract definitions can be created, saved and used repeatedly.

Preceda Reporting Tools comprises of separate tools that work together to request, extract and produce ad hoc reports. These components comprise of the following elements.

• Extractor
  Extracts data from Preceda
• Presenter
  Presenter converts spooled files into standard file formats, such as PDF, HTML, Text, and RTF formats.
  
• Report Manager
  Report Manager is used to schedule reports to run at a set day and time
• Report Server
  Report Server is used to download files to an external server for the purpose of running Crystal reports
• Standard Reports
  Standard Reports are pre determined reports produced directly from Preceda
• Advanced Reports
  Predefined reports supplied in Preceda that are run using Crystal Reports
• Crystal Reports
  Crystal Reports is a report tool used to design and generate reports from data that has been extracted from Preceda.
