BSB Codes

BSB Codes for financial Institutions such as for a Bank, Building Society or Credit Unit are defined using this window. These codes are used when transferring employee direct credit funds .

Rules and Guidelines

• Direct Credit Banking describes how to establish and use the direct credit banking feature.
• All Bank Type codes can be set to BK, even if setting up BSB's for Credit Unions and Building Societies. This allows for the EFT process to be run only once.

Field Information

Code

This is the BSB number that identifies both the bank and the branch of a particular bank, building society or credit union.

Bank Type

This is a code identifying the type of financial institution that processes the bank credit transactions.

Code	Description
BK	Bank
BS	Building Society
CU	Credit Union

 

Bank

This is a unique abbreviated description of the financial institution and is used for sorting the BSB numbers into the various financial institutions.

Bank Name

This is the name of the Financial Institution.
