Course Codes are the basic drivers, most of the facilities available are driven by the Course ID, such as the ability to automatically update an employee's competencies on completion of a course.
When setting up Course Codes, plan carefully and use a standard convention that will enable you to easily search for and retrieve the courses needed. A combination of alpha and numeric characters can be used for Course Codes.
