The Multiple Role Conditions module within Preceda provides functionality to allocate more than one Role to an employee. Each Role can have a separate Position, Rates of Pay, Calculation Methods, Allowances and Costing details configured.
This information is integrated with other modules in Preceda:
Payroll | Calculation of payments for an employee's Role will be performed based on the Payment Details set against the Role. |
General Ledger | All payments for an employee's Role will apply the Costings set against the Role, which will flow through to the General Ledger. |
Self Service | When an employee applies for leave, they can select a Role so that the relevant Manager will be identified for application review. |
Organisation | When a Role has a Position attached, this information will flow through to the Organisation module's Position screens and reports |
This functionality eliminates the need to create several ID Numbers for an employee who holds more than one position. The total of payments to an employee against all Roles is used for Superannuation Guarantee and Taxation calculations. This resolves previously experienced issues with these calculations when an employee was paid under more than one ID Number. Employees will receive one Payment Summary at Year End detailing the total of values paid against all Roles.
Please Note: This functionality does not cater for employees holding Roles in separate companies. Separate ID numbers are still required if the employee is receiving payments from more than one company.
The Multiple Role Conditions (MRC) module will include four folders to cater for this functionality:
MRC Administration | Includes four screens for adding and updating Secondary Roles for employees, and the associated Costing and Payment Details |
MRC History | Includes three screens for retaining all historical information relating to settings against employee's Secondary Roles. |
MRC Reference | Includes three screens for establishing and maintaining Multiple Role Conditions Codes, and any default Costing and Payment settings if desired. |
End Role | Includes a screen where a process can be run to end an employee's Secondary Role. Also included is a wizard to update an employee's Primary Role settings, with the current details from an active Secondary Role. This folder resides inside the MRC Administration folder. |
