Standard Days
The Standard Days field from the Payment Details window is used to record an employee's average base hours per day and is calculated for display purposes only. The Calculation of Standard Days is based on a Work Pattern Code or Base Hours.
Example of employees with a Work Pattern Code
- The sum of all hours worked from the Worked Hours field in the Work Pattern Details window for employee Work Pattern Code is 26.
- The number of days in the Work Pattern Details window where Work Hours are not equal to zero for the employee Work Pattern Code is 4.
- Total Hours Worked divided by the Number of days = Standard Days
- 26 / 4 = 6.5 Hours
- If a Work Pattern Code is changed, the Standard Days will be re-calculated for any employee using the code. A warning message is displayed.
Example of employee without a Work Pattern Code
- The Base Hours Amount for employee's Base Hours code is 25.
- The number of days in the Base Hours Codes window, where Worked Hours is not equal to zero for the employee's base hours code, is 5.
- Total Base Hours Amount divided by the Number of days = Standard Days
- 25 / 5 = 5 Hours
- If an employee's Work Pattern Code or Base Hours code is changed in the Payment Details window, the Standard Days is re-calculated and the new value is updated when the window is saved.
