Time
Preceda Time provides time and attendance functionality within Preceda. It is integrated with Preceda People, Preceda Payroll, Employee Self Service, Extractor and Report manager. Preceda Time Collection Manager provides the mechanism for exchanging time and time related information with external applications and most importantly to provide the Time Sheet data for input to Payroll.
Preceda Time uses three significant types of time:-
Rostered Time, identifying the times when employees are expected to be working . Maintaining Rostered time is optional.
Reported Time, identifying the times when employees did work which may include additional attributes such as where they worked and what they worked on.
Payable Time, representing the payments to be made to the employee, which may also be associated with additional attributes.
Capabilities are provided to edit each of these types of time.
To support the real time calculation of payable time a set of rules is defined to use rostered and reported time to automatically determine payable time.
The definition of these rules uses a set of defined parameters that cater for the majority of arrangements for determining payments to employees.
