Holidays
This option is used to schedule holidays and specify special Time Codes to be used when employees work on those holidays.
Prerequisites
- A business requirements and or functional requirements document specifying the award conditions must be completed and approved.
- Daily Rules must be setup.
Rules and Guidelines
- Holiday records are linked to a Daily Rule Profile.
- An unlimited number of holiday records can be setup for a Daily Rules Profile.
- The holiday pay categories can be paid in addition to or replace the pay categories setup in regular overtime routines.
- The holiday pay categories can also be paid in addition to or replace the pay categories setup in the Holiday Time Code fields in the Premium File.
- A Daily Rules is selected before any records can be created.
Field Information
The holiday start date and time.
- The start date and time fields on an existing holiday record cannot be changed, the record must be deleted and re-entered.
The holiday ending date and time.
- The date entered in the is field will determine when to top paying the special holiday rates.
- Any time worked that falls between the start and stop date and time will be paid at the specified Holiday Rate.

Under what circumstances does an employee qualify for holiday hours.

B | Between. The employee qualifies for holiday pay for all hours worked within the time range setup in the Holiday Start and Stop Date/Time fields, regardless of when the in and out punches are entered. |

In-Punch. The employee qualifies for holiday pay for the full duration of their shift if their in-punch falls within the time range setup in the Holiday Start and Stop Date/Time fields. |
M | Majority. The employee qualifies for holiday pay only if they work for more than 50% of their hours within the time range setup in the Holiday Start and Stop Date/Time fields. |
Are the holiday pay categories paid in addition to, or in place of, the Pay Categories setup in the daily, weekly and pay period overtime routine fields.

Drill Down Field Information
The holiday time code an employee should receive for all regular hours worked on a holiday. Holiday hours will be included in overtime calculations if the Exclude Hours from the Calculation of Overtime field is unchecked in the Time Code file for this Pay Code.
The Holiday Time Codes that an employee should receive for all overtime hours worked on a holiday.
The Overtime Block 1 to 4 Time Codes are paid based on the qualifiers setup in the Pay on All Hours Over fields for the regular overtime routines in the Pay Period field, e.g., if an employee is to receive double time for all hours worked on a holiday, OT2.0 is entered in both the Regular and Overtime Time Code fields.
