Leave Reason Filter

This window defines which Other Leave Reasons are to be displayed in Self Service, in the Leave Reason field of the Leave Application Details window.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Other Leave Reason Filters are used when defining Templates.
  • If no filter is defined and applied in a template, the Leave Reason Codes setup in the Leave Reason window are automatically displayed.

Field Information

Enter a code of up to 10 characters that represents the Filter.

This field displays the Other Leave Reasons.

This field displays the description of the Other Leave Reason.

A new description can be entered to make the Other Leave Reason more user friendly. The description entered is displayed in the Self Service Leave Application Detail window in the Enter the Other Leave Reason field.

Specify if this code will be available in Self Service or not.

This filter indicates the Leave Reason/s that will be available in the Leave by Proxy Wizard > Leave Application Details screen > Leave Reason field, allowing you to customise or limit the options the employees can select in the Leave Reason field.

  • Leaving this column to N for ALL Leave Reasons will make ALL Leave Reasons available in the Leave by Proxy Wizard > Leave Application Details screen > Leave Reason field for selection. By default, this column is set to N.
  • Alternatively, setting this column to N for particular Leave Reasons while (a) configuring it to Y for specific Leave Reasons results to (b) only the nominated Leave Reasons to be available on the Leave by Proxy Wizard > Leave Application Details screen > Leave Reason field options. Those set to N are excluded in the other Leave Reason field's choice list.
