View/Change Partitions
Preceda can be partitioned for access purposes and has no effect on the data itself, only access to the data. This function must be run for the Security Profile to take effect.
Prerequisites
- Security Profiles
Rules and Guidelines
- When creating Security Profiles, parameters are setup that require the data within Preceda to be partitioned for access purposes.
- This partitioning has no effect on the data itself but is only used to access the data.
- If setting up Security Profiles for the first time or changing any parameters for a Security Profile, the Process Partition Changes job must be run before the changes become effective.
