Certification

This option is used to create Certifications required by employees to obtain or qualify for an employment position. etc.

Prerequisites

Rules and Guidelines

  • Some Certifications may be open ended while others can have an expiry date in which case the employee can no longer be considered certified.

Field Information

Up to 8 character code that represents the Certification.

  • A C19 Certification Code is auto created to represent COVID related certifications.

The Certification Type

  • A new Certification type can be created.
  • For COVID related certifications, the default Certification Type used is VACCINE.

Determines whether an attachment proof is required from employee for the certification.

Code Description
N No attachment is required for the certification.
Y An attachment is required with all the instances of the certification.

 

Determines whether the certification is confidential.

Code Description
N The certification is not considered confidential.
Y The certification is confidential and will be added to the Confidential Certificates Activity ID (M001801).

 

  • All users with casual update access to this screen can create confidential certifications. Only users with casual update access to Activity ID M001801 can either update confidential certifications to be no longer confidential of delete them.

 

Can be used when setting up a specific certification that has a fixed expiration date.
